This customized 1957 Chevy Bel Air was the centerpiece of Ohio Technical College's display at SEMA 2010 and represents the new Edelbrock Performance Academy at Ohio Technical College. The car will tour the U.S. in 2010-11 as part of OTC's 80 high school and 20 car show "Fuel Your Future Tour" and other major events and shows. The '57 Chevy was presented to Vic Edelbrock as an Appreciation Award from OTC for his leadership and innovation in the aftermarket performance industry at a special press conference on Wednesday, November 3rd ,2010.
The Story
This particular 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air was purchased in a complete state of disrepair. Missing all major detail from bumpers to interior to dash, it was the perfect project car. With support from major industry partners, OTC's Classic Car Restoration and High Performance and Racing staff and students, as well as Christi Edelbrock, it came to life over a 3 month period.
