We understand the concerns you have for your child in finding the right college to set them on the path for their career. OTC recognizes that self-reliant, confident individuals develop as a result of strong relationships with family and community. We encourage and support your participation in your child's intellectual and personal growth and welcome you as an important member of our family.

Below are some frequently asked questions that show why OTC is the right choice for your child's education.

How long has Ohio Technical College been in existence?
OTC was founded in 1969 and has been providing quality, real-world training for 39 years in programs like Automotive, Diesel, Auto-Diesel, PowerSport, Collision Repair, Alternative Fuels, High Performance and Racing, Custom Paint & Graphics, Power Generator Systems and BMW.

Are you accredited?
Yes, OTC is accredited by ACCSC (Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges), which is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency.

When do classes start?
Our programs start typically four times a year: January, April, July and September. Interested students should contact one of our admissions representatives for exact class start dates for the program(s) they are interested in pursuing.

Who can enroll in the school?

High school students can enroll at any time during their senior year, but we strongly recommend making a decision early in their senior year. Students who are of age, possess a high school diploma or GED, or can demonstrate the ability to benefit from training at OTC can apply for admission.

If a student is interested in one of our training programs, we recommend contacting an admissions representative to schedule a personal interview. These interviews can be done in a student's home, at their school or at Ohio Technical College. During this interview, the student and representative will discuss which career options are best for the student and the details of the training programs.  If recommended for training at OTC by the admissions representative, the student will be asked to take a tour of the school, meet the faculty and staff, and take an admissions test.

The cost for attending school depends on what program the student is enrolling in.  With more than 28 options for training, the costs will vary by program.  As an accredited college, all of our 12-month and longer programs may be covered by federal financial aid. Please contact an admissions representative today for more information on programs and costs.

Do you offer scholarships?
Scholarships are available to students attending OTC if they qualify. If a student receives an OTC sponsored scholarship, he or she must meet and maintain certain requirements.

Do you offer degree programs?
