Edelbrock History

Edelbrock was founded in 1933 when Vic Edelbrock Sr. moved to California and opened a repair shop with his brother-in-law in Beverly Hills.  The business grew quickly as did Vic Sr.'s reputation as an expert mechanic.

Shortly after his only child, Vic Jr. was born, Vic Sr. bought his first 1932 Ford Roadster.  This purchase changed the course of Edelbrock history and created the first Edelbrock intake manifold.  Over the course of the next several years Edelbrock expanded and became the company to use for a better, faster hot rod.

Vic Sr. passed away in 1962 and his son, Vic Jr. took over Edelbrock along with many of the employees that had been there since the beginning.

Today Edelbrock has seven locations in California and has become one of the most prominent names in the aftermarket industry.
